What the role is
As a Public Communications Officer (New Media Engagement) in the Public Affairs Department, you create and execute SPF’s social media strategies to establish a strong and credible online presence. You will be part of a team responsible for curating and publishing engaging social media content to raise public awareness on safety and security issues in Singapore. It is a challenging role which requires you to be creative in developing these social media content and connect with the online community while staying aligned with the organisation’s mission to prevent, deter and detect crime.
What you will be working on
We are looking for a driven and dynamic individual who can work well under stress to be part of our team. You are required to manage the SPF’s social media platforms and curate engaging content that enhances the SPF brand. You will also have to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of the content published on SPF’s social media platforms by analysing qualitative and quantitative data collected. You will need to be familiar with social media analytics tools, that will help you in your data collection and analysis.
What we are looking for
• Be proficient in English and at least one other official language in Singapore. • Be social media savvy and preferably with 2 years of experience in creating and curating social media content on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. • Good knowledge in social media dashboards and preferably, basic knowledge in design and editing software such as Adobe suite. • Independent, adaptable and a good team player. • Strong interpersonal, analytical, written, and verbal communications skills. • Meticulous and methodical.
