Purpose of Role

The integrity and professional ethics ("PE") of each BNP Paribas employee forms the basic building block of BNP Paribas Group Code of Conduct. In this regard, the Asia Pacific Professional Ethics & Investigations ("APAC PE & I") within Compliance aims to promote a sound business and ethical culture within BNP Paribas through the following:- * Ensure consistency in the integration of the Code of Conduct into the Region's action principles for employees from PE perspective;
  • Implement PE related rules, processes, and controls for misconduct prevention;
  • Handle PE breaches and whistleblowing alerts in accordance with internal guidelines and requirements;
  • Support BNP Paribas entities across APAC in critical investigations; and
  • Provide timely reporting to all territory management on the PE breaches and investigations for appropriate remedial actions to be taken.
APAC Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Gift & Invitation, Due Diligence Team ("AGD Team") is a sub-team of APAC PE &I. AGD team has a wide remit to ensure all BNP Paribas APAC staff are compliant with and fully conversant to all laws, regulations and internal guidelines in the areas of Anti-Bribery & Corruption ("AB&C"), Gifts & Invitations ("G&I") and Due Diligence ("DD").

Responsibilities

Anti-Bribery & Corruption
  • Research and contribute to writing on ABC topics for internal newsletters and bulletins.
  • Review and provide update on revision of ABC related regulations and guidelines.
  • Meetings preparation - slides, gathering of information, coordination and minutes of meeting.
  • Housekeeping and maintenance of share drive folders / PE webpage.
  • Conducting of ad-hoc survey or liaison/coordination work with territories ABC correspondents.
  • Monitor the implementation of the AB&C measures in APAC countries.
  • Liaise with other Compliance teams and relevant stakeholders in order to gather information for reporting to the Group.
  • Participate and contribute in Group and Regional projects on AB&C issues.
Gifts, Invitations, Other Advantages
  • Contribute to the Bank's new Gifts, Invitations, Other Advantages ("GIOA") project.
  • Assist in data uploads, data maintenance, data extraction, data analysis.
  • Assist in reviewing potential violation cases and put up reports, notification emails.
  • Assist in identification of opportunities to simplify process and put up proposal / workflow.
General
  • Prepare MIS reports for management reporting.
  • Support creation of Internal and Ad-hoc reports in a timely manner.
  • Assist in Annual Compliance Declaration review where required.
  • Handle special projects and/or other duties as and when assigned by Management.
Qualifications

Technical and Behavioural Competencies
  • Excellent written and communication skill.
  • Have experience putting up newsletters.
  • Good in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Able to perform simple webpage / newsletter / bulletin designing.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong ability to meet deadlines
