Job Description

As a Technology / Quant intern at Caladan, you will gain first-hand experience working closely with top engineers, quants and traders as part of small teams doing real work.



Close to 40% of our Engineering team are former interns and have gone on to a wide variety of roles, some are now even acting as mentors for the next group of interns!

In 2026 we are looking for interns to embed into various teams:

Software Engineers & Algo Developers

Building connectivity to new venues, exploring new blockchains & protocols Optimising existing trading strategies & developing new algo logic Improving the reliability & efficiency of core platforms Design, build, and maintain scalable trading platform infrastructure

Quant Research & Trading

Exploring market microstructures to identify patterns & inefficiencies that can be translated into profitable trading strategies Developing statistical & machine learning models to predict market behaviour Monitoring live trading performances, looking for opportunities to refine & adapt strategies to evolving market conditions

Who is this aimed at?

3rd or 4th year undergraduates or Masters students studying a STEM or adjacent subject Proactive programmers with hands on experience coding in Python, C++ or C# Inquisitive, Curious, who want to understand the 'why?' and 'what if?' as much as the 'how?'
