Take ownership of bookkeeping and reporting responsibilities for Gelt's customers
utilizing a variety of account softwares (QuickBooks Online, Xero, etc) with a focus on quality, timeliness and alignment to accounting standards. Among other things, this will involve: - Data entry - AR/PR - Balancing Sheets - Bank, credit card, loan, and payroll reconciliations - Organization of information received from multiple sources - Analysis of financial details - Assist or create automations on various platforms to improve process or extraction of data
Assist in onboarding new customers by cleaning up messy books
Be accountable for the quality and timeliness of accounting reconciliations and financial statement preparation
Communicate with Gelt's tax team to discuss any discrepancies or concerns found in customer records
Requirements:
Must be a registered CPA
5+ years of experience in US accounting
You are an expert at bank reconciliations and reconciling messy books
You are a problem solver
Previous small business bookkeeping experience preferred
Attention to detail is essential
You have experience
Proficient in Quickbooks
