Job Title: Interior Design Drafter


Reports To: Senior Designer / Design Manager





Job Overview:


The Interior Design Drafter is responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and plans based on the specifications provided by interior designers and project managers. This role involves translating design concepts into precise CAD drawings, ensuring all plans comply with local building codes and project requirements.





Key Responsibilities:


1. Drafting and Design


Prepare detailed technical drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and 3D models as needed. Collaborate with designers to convert concepts into functional layouts. Develop joinery and furniture design details with accurate specifications.
2. Coordination


Coordinate with project teams, architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs. Revise drawings based on feedback and changes to project requirements.
3. Compliance and Standards


Ensure drawings meet building codes, safety regulations, and company standards. Maintain a high standard of accuracy in all technical drawings.
4. Documentation


Organize and maintain drawing archives for easy retrieval and reference. Assist in preparing design presentations with accurate visual documentation.
5. Project Support


Assist in material selection and creating mood boards if required. Visit project sites for measurements, design clarifications, and progress updates.


Qualifications and Skills:


Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and other relevant tools. Strong understanding of interior design principles and space planning. Ability to interpret design concepts and translate them into technical drawings. Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and materials. Good communication and teamwork abilities.


Preferred Experience:


1-3 years of experience in interior design drafting or a similar role. * Familiarity with 3D rendering software like 3ds Max , lumion, I- structure etc
