ABOUT EMPLOYER:
A five-star luxury hotel in Singapore that is part of the Marriott International portfolio. The property is renowned for its elegant accommodations, world-class dining experiences, and warm hospitality. With a strong reputation for service excellence, it provides interns with valuable exposure to international standards in the hospitality industry.

POSITION TITLE: Bartender Internship
EMPLOYER: 5 Star Hotel under Marriott Group
ALLOWANCE: Basic S$1200 - S$1600 / Month (Excluding OT)
WORKING SCHEDULE: 5 days per week (44 hours per week; overtime compensated)
MEAL: Duty meals provided
UNIFORM: Uniform and laundry provided
REQUIREMENTS:
This internship is open only to:

• Singaporean students
• Singapore Permanent Residents (PR)
• Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) holders
• Work Holiday Pass (WHP) holders

Note: Employer does not have a Work Permit quota.
DURATION: Students must be able to join program minimum for 6 months
EDUCATION: Currently pursuing studies in Hospitality, F&B Services, or other related fields
INTERNSHIP TYPE: Must be a compulsory credit-bearing internship required for graduation by the university
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learn and assist in preparing, mixing, and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages under supervision.
• Support the team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation of the bar area, counters, glassware, and equipment.
• Observe and practice proper use of the Point of Sale (POS) system for order taking and billing.
• Assist in bar opening and closing procedures.
• Monitor stock usage and support with beverage stock counts when required.
• Provide courteous service to guests, including taking beverage orders and assisting with recommendations.
• Learn upselling techniques to maximise guest experience and sales.
• Handle guest inquiries or requests with professionalism and escalate concerns to supervisors when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with hotel hygiene, safety, and grooming standards.
• Collaborate with service staff to ensure smooth food and beverage service.
• Participate in training sessions provided to enhance knowledge of beverages, bar operations, and customer service.
