Abbott MBA Internship Program \xe2\x80\x93 Singapore:

MBA Interns at Abbott are assigned to commercial leadership positions, including marketing, market research, or business development where they work to complete a project in business unit. Our MBA Interns will work on a project that will impact the business and provide them with an overview of the healthcare industry.

Assignments are 12 weeks in length and include Intern Week and the final presentation of the project results to senior leaders, division executives, and colleagues. Upon completion of the internship, MBA Interns are considered for direct hire opportunities in commercial management positions in Abbott\xe2\x80\x99s global organization.

Position Overview:

This position works out of our Singapore \xe2\x80\x93 DUO Tower location in our Abbott Molecular Division (AMD). Abbott Molecular Division (AMD) is a leader in molecular diagnostics and the analysis of DNA, RNA, and proteins at the molecular level.

With our expanding portfolio in AMD, we are looking at opportunities to grow the business beyond the current segments to enable more patients to receive fast and accurate test results.

As an MBA Intern, you will partner and work closely with the AMD Asia-Pacific Leadership team to:

• Refine our current strategy in alignment with the portfolio roadmap
• Lead a segmentation, targeting and positioning project across key markets in Asia-Pacific
• Analyze pricing data and provide recommendations on the pricing strategy for our products
• Support the launch of a new molecular test within Asia-Pacific as part of the launch team

Key Responsibilities:

Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning

• Leverage existing CRM and 3rd party research data to identify the segment potential and appropriate targets
• Develop the key messages which align to our value proposition for each target
• Examine digital marketing strategies to reach targeted segments

Pricing Strategy

• Gather research on competitive trends, and working closely with cross-functional teams to understand market landscape
• Partner with the pricing team to understand existing data to effectively build price elasticity
• Work on ad-hoc pricing tasks such as analyzing historical pricing trends, renewal rate trends, etc.

Product Launch

• Perform customer interviews and market assessment for the new product

• Support in localizing global materials within APAC

Upon completion of the internship, you will:

• Have a strong understanding of the molecular diagnostics market landscape in key markets across Asia-Pacific
• Be able to apply marketing concepts in the diagnostics and healthcare space
• Have a deep understanding of the digital marketing landscape in healthcare
• Have exposure to the Diagnostics selling cycle and engage with customers during field travels

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a full-time MBA program with a reputable institution in Singapore
• Able to commit to a 12-week full-time internship program (*Start date must be between May to July 2023)
• Must be eligible to work/intern in Singapore with valid visa (where applicable)
• Demonstrated interest in marketing and healthcare
