Account Executive, Commercial Bancassurance

Job Description

In this role, you will:

(1) Manage the day-to- day administrative activities and basic underwriting as part of our Commercial Bancassurance Team. You will evaluate polices and identify risks against our established guidelines. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of business with our banking partner.

(2) Provides excellent client service to drive renewals retention and increase portfolio size as part of business objectives by assisting in the implementation of insurance solutions that meet clients' needs.

This is a critical role, as you apply your knowledge and skills to contributes to the overall growth and profitability of the bancassurance division as well as contribute to the P&C department's business development goals.

What you will do:

Account Servicing

  • At Pre-renewal stage, assist with the collection of renewal information from clients, preparing coverage specifications, producing client proposals, participate in client meetings, propose new lines of coverage.
  • Post renewals, accountable for coordination of cover note & invoice issuance for each line of coverage, prepare client enclosing cover notes, manage the billing and accounts receivable, prepares and sends related documents to client.
  • On an ongoing basis, ensure quality service to all clients including file maintenance and e filing, develop, monitor, update Renewal Action Plan, responds to client inquiries on coverage/documentation requests; capable of independently servicing a limited number of less complex accounts.
Master Policies Account Management
  • Responsible for administrative and basic underwriting tasks of insurance products within the portfolio
  • Secure additional information where necessary and analyze all pertinent data to determine acceptability of risks according to established underwriting standards
  • Review endorsements on existing policies to identify any change in original coverage or amounts
  • Evaluate, accept, reject or modify risk within established underwriting guidelines. Assist in preparing submissions for senior review.
  • Coordinate with the support team to ensure valid and timely response on quotations and production of policies, endorsements, certificates, renewal notices, and other administrative requirements
  • Maintain close rapport and relationship with bancassurance partners to obtain necessary underwriting information, promote satisfactory service relationship and to encourage the submission of targeted business.
Qualifications

What you will need:
  • A Diploma with 1- 3 year's relevant experience
  • Professional experience at assistant underwriting level or equivalent industry experience
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to evaluate and judge underwriting risks within designated authority
  • Effective communication & interpersonal skills to work effectively with the all levels within the company and our bancassurance partners
  • Good understanding and working knowledge the insurance market
  • Experience of dealing with insurance intermediaries and clients
  • Proven ability to manage high volume of workload and manage multiple priorities
