NEW BUSINESS ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose

Account Executive is a new role to Fastmarkets as we usher in a new era of revenue generation. The role is created to drive a focus on winning new logos and Winbacks (previously cancelled clients).

The right candidate will be a pure hunter with a proven track record of targeted and securing new business within the price reporting or business intelligence market. You should have a passion for solution, consultative or challenger sales theory and be able to clearly talk to and articulate value proposition and ROI to new customers.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Exceed monthly, quarterly and annual quota for new business
  • Work within a quickly growing team of business development managers
  • Responsible for increasing sales from New Logos and Winbacks (previously cancelled accounts)
  • Identify and engage new logo relationships
  • Significantly increase the pipeline and process for new business across Fastmarkets and specifically the Agricultural products industry
  • Own and deliver a healthy pipeline leading to an accurate forecast
  • Responsible and high accuracy in completion of Accounts, Contacts and Opportunities as well as notes, tasks and meetings within CRM System (Salesforce)
  • Develop and maintain key knowledge on the competitive landscape to be able to identify strengths and risks of the Fastmarkets product offering
  • Build a strong market knowledge of the Agricultural products markets to bring back into the business innovation and investment ideas
  • Develop and maintain a clear and well-organized territory and account plan which outlines how you will deliver your sales target consistently
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Experience

The role of Business Development Manager is a crucial role to the acceleration of the Fastmarkets growth, the right candidate will be experienced in delivering significant growth through new business. They will be prepared to work purely with new logos without relying on an account book to find and convert opportunity within their territory. Experience within the PRA or commodities markets would be welcomed.

Skills

Essential
  • A proven new business sales record
  • Superb communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Experience of the commodities industry (or to very quickly learn it)
  • Proven track record using CRM (Salesforce) to run their territory
  • Experience working with consultative, solution or challenger sales
  • A self-starter with drive and ability to create a sense of urgency
  • A proven team player with a willingness to help accelerate their peer\xe2\x80\x99s development
