Handle day-to-day accounting tasks outside the month-end closing period, ensuring all transactions are recorded properly
Ensure that data/information in all systems such as (but not limited to) CFM is maintained and that the systems are being used
Ensure that "Guidelines" such as (but not limited to) budget process, handling insurance cases, monthly cost reporting, commercial preparation of dry dockings, etc. are being
Month-end closing and review transactions to date
Perform bank reconciliations
Closing accounts receivables, accounts payable and fixed assets
Amortisation of prepayments
Capture of deferred income and accrued expenses
Lubricating oil inventory management
Intercompany reconciliation
Submitting entries for approval as required
Prepare OPEX reports and management reports, addressing common reporting requests
Utilize judgment to highlight and report significant matters that require management's attention
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Proactive approach to collecting and challenging information to ensure accurate reporting
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, Chartered Accountant or CPA from a recognized university
Preferably a minimum of 2 years of vessel accounting experience, ideally in the maritime industry
Excellent working knowledge of SFRS / IFRS
