Accountant / FP& A Financial Analyst, Contract

Summary
As the Financial Analyst is the company\'s Finance Department, lead the end-to-end Inventory accounting and reporting process for organisation to operate more effectively. As a value-added contribution towards the management, this position will help to drive scenario-based analysis for inventory during the budgeting/LRP processes. Serves as the Planning Lead to provide support to internal coordination of operating budget/forecast accounting activities (including contract management).

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure accurate analysis, budgeting/forecasting, and reporting for inventory to support the management in achieving performance metrics; to maintain compliance with policies/procedures and applicable GSSP, laws and regulations.
  • Develop a good understanding of the operations to provide value-added financial analyses to site Leadership Team/management, and facilitate decision-making that will support the attainment of site financial inventory targets (e.g. MOH or Inventory level).
  • Lead the development of the annual operating plan/forecasts to meet Schedule
  • Liaise as appropriate with other Finance/Supply Chain colleagues to prepare the Site Inventory submissions to PGS Finance.
  • Be the Inventory SME with a clear understanding of the end-to-end inventory process, who can advise on the financial impact of changes to site manufacturing and supply plans.
  • Develop a good FP&A understanding of the operations to provide support as financial representative to the assigned department, including the preparation of spend budgets and forecast; analysis of monthly actuals and provision of financial advice as required. (Include accounting and reporting).
  • Support the Finance Manager on all internal and external financial reporting activities (monthly, quarterly, and yearly) through independent thinking and with excellent organisational & analytical skills.
  • Be a proactive finance representative to the assigned functional department and on cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure internal control practices in areas of responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Professional qualification in Accountancy or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a MNC environment with equivalent position held
  • Good understanding in Inventory Accounting & Internal control concepts
  • Good Project management skills
  • Accuracy and timeliness of reporting for business decision
  • Utlization of software and reporting tools to reduce time and effort spent on preparation of reports
