OVERVIEW

We are looking for an analytical-minded and detail-oriented Accountant to join the Singapore Finance & Accounting team. The position reports to the Accounting Manager.

The role covers a variety of financial & accounting activities, which include accounts payable, monthly close processes, and financial reporting requirements. The role requires solid hands-on, good accounting knowledge and advanced Excel and ERP system skills, gained through prior experiences in US or multinational companies and will strive in a multi-team collaborative environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform invoice validation, account-coding and ensure approvals according to company authorization policies. Follow up and manage issue resolution.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and perform month-end close activities, analyze and maintain balance sheet account reconciliation and support for sub-ledger activities (AP & Fixed Asset).
• Generate reports post month-end close, assist in flux analysis.
• Prepare monthly cash forecast.
• Prepare GST & WHT filings and assist in audit schedules & statutory surveys.
• Participate in continuous process improvement and system upgrade testing.
• Additional responsibilities and ad-hoc projects as and when assigned.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION & COMPETENCIES

• Accounting degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience, familiarity with US GAAP a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot, Lookup, Essbase, etc.) and proficient user skills in enterprise accounting systems.
• Meticulous, strong organizational & communication skills.
