The CompanyOur client, in the retail / FMCG sector, is currently looking for an accountant to join their dynamic team.

The RoleThe primary responsibilities of this role encompass ensuring the timely and accurate closure of month-end financial activities and delivering precise financial reports to the management team. The incumbent is tasked with preparing and finalizing both monthly and annual financial statements. Moreover, they play a crucial role in overseeing various accounting processes, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger management, and account reconciliation. In addition, the position involves coordinating and collaborating with internal stakeholders to facilitate intercompany activities and supporting corporate guidelines during forecasting and budgeting exercises. External interactions are also a part of the role, as the individual is responsible for liaising with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax authorities, and government entities when necessary. Compliance with finance filing requirements, tax obligations, audits, and both statutory and internal procedures and forms is a key aspect of the position.

Your ProfileYou should possess at least a Degree in Accountancy / ACCA or equivalent, with minimum 5 years of relevant experience. You are expected to have strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate internally with team members as well as externally with clients.
