ADV Partners is an Asian private equity firm, formed to pursue privately negotiated, value investment opportunities within the mid-market corporate segment in Asia. The firm was established in early 2013 by three founding partners with a common vision to build an institutional quality investment platform that combined their diverse yet complementary experience.

We are looking for a dynamic and passionate individual with a strong interest in Private Equity to join us as an Accountant in the Finance team where he/she shall provide the required Finance support to ADV’s Funds activities and Group business activities to ensure financial reporting and regulatory requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Accounting and Financial Reporting responsibilities include:

  • Managing interest schedules and timely interest billings for the firm’s debt investments
  • Tracking of investment-related expenses and income on real-time basis
  • Tracking of key metrics and assumptions used for investment valuations
  • Reviewing monthly/quarterly accounts of funds, investment vehicles and corporate entities prepared by outsourced service providers
  • Supporting year end audit process
  • Assisting with regulatory/tax compliance and GST remission for investment vehicles
  • Reviewing of board resolutions, AGM documents and minutes including XBRL
  • Assisting with periodic reporting requirements for external bank loans
  • Reviewing investors deliverables prepared by outsourced service providers eg capital account statements, capital event notices etc
  • Assisting with treasury function which includes coordination and review of invoices, payment preparation, bank reconciliations, liquidity monitoring, update of bank signatories etc
  • Assisting with requests/queries raised by investors
  • Aliasing and ensuring service providers adhere to scope of work and meet required timelines
Ad-hoc and on-going project work includes:
  • Assisting with implementation of projects including preparing data for migration from existing system, working with IT vendor to configure / customise solutions for financial reporting, UAT testing
  • Assisting with ad-hoc projects for on-going improvements to finance processes
Handle ad-hoc assignments or tasks assigned from time to time

REQUIREMENTS Qualification
  • Diploma or other equivalent finance/accounting qualification.
Experience:
  • Previous work experience in private equities, audit firm, corporate finance, investment banking or consulting background is highly preferred
Personal attributes & skills:
  • Self-motivated, willing to work in a challenging and fast paced environment.
  • Individual with a positive, can-do attitude who can work collaboratively with team members across geographies.
  • Detail oriented, self-organised and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.
