Responsible for general accounting work required to maintain the department’s general ledger.
Performs financial analysis of department’s chart of accounts and financial statements by identifying and analyzing variances.
Analyzes, records and reports accounting transactions in a timely manner.
Prepares general ledgers entries and account reconciliations.
Responds to inquiries received from management, internal and external auditors, Sarbanes-Oxley audit group and others regarding financial results, special reporting requests.
Supports the development, testing and delivery of finance systems improvement initiatives.
Working with end users to test new finance system solutions, in developing customized reports and ad hoc analysis.
Performs administration and ongoing maintenance of finance system applications.
Partnering with Finance System team members, IT and project management teams to develop, test and deliver finance systems solutions. Supports training of new end-users.
Qualification:
Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Possesses general accounting skills, familiar with financial regulations, internal and external audits, financial analysis.
Experienced in statutory matters such as audits and tax compliance.
Ability to supports the development, testing and delivery of finance systems improvement initiatives.
Ability to performs administration and ongoing maintenance of finance system applications.
