Meranti Power Pte Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of Energy Market Authority, is establishing a multi-discipline project team and corporate team to facilitate and ensure timely implementation of power generating station projects and thereafter, operation and maintenance of the power generating station. We are inviting applicants for the position of Accountant who shall report to the Head (Finance). The scope and requirements are as follows: Scope Perform basic book-keeping Maintain accurate data on the accounting software and produce the financial report Updating and maintaining fixed asset registers Process reimbursement within the organization Assistance with preparation of documentation for audit purpose and taxation filing purpose Check and ensure compliance of indirect taxes (GST/VAT/Sales Tax) treatment on accounting entries of invoices; preparation of quarterly GST submission to IRAS and work closely with tax agent for Corporate Tax filing Handle full spectrum of Accounts Payable functions including inter-companies' payments and routine AP aging report. Accurate and timely processing of 3-way match of purchase orders/delivery orders/invoices, non-PO purchase and staff expense claims. Verify complete and accurate AP documentation with proper approval submitted to finance department. Proper recording and posting of invoices to ERP system, database system and/or accounting program. Reconciliation against statement of accounts for external vendors and inter-companies. Prepare various monthly schedules and reports Support and undertake ad-hoc assignment as assignedRequirements Education in Accounting or Professional Accounting Qualification At least 6-8 years' experience in commercial accounting, familiar with Excel and major ERP system(s) Well organized, careful and patient, put enough attention on details Meticulous and with eyes for details Strong financial analytical and problem-solving skills Able to work independently and as a team in a fast paced environment Willing to work in construction site office during construction stage and Jurong Island
