Job Description

Role Purpose Statement The Accountant will serve as a business partner to various business lines assigned to the role and will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting activities, and financial/position reporting as well as financial profitability analysis and other special projects as assigned. The Accountant is responsible for maintaining a control environment in compliance with SOX audit.

Main Accountabilities

• Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all accounting data (AP, AR and GL) in SAP.
• Review the transactions to ensure compliance to all relevant rules and regulations, and to fully understand the Product Line's numbers.
• Work with team members and Accounting Manager to review and reconcile traders Profit and Loss Statements.
• Responsible for daily position reporting and risk monitoring.
• Assist FP&A team with forecast, financial planning and budgeting for the product lines.
• Responsible for monthly/quarterly Hyperion, SFAS/SEC reporting package and variance reporting.
• Responsible for AR/AP and GRIR activities, ad hoc assignments and projects.
• Coordinate closely with the Global Shared Service team in intercompany reconciliations
• Conduct margin, product variance report analysis and preparation of costing reports.
• Inventory reconciliation between 3rd party statement against accounting record.
• Prepare and present quarterly provision for bad debts review

• Degree in Business/ Accounting or professional accounting qualification with more than 5 years working experience in Financial Accounting, preferably Commodity Accounting with hands-on experience.
• Good communication skills, ability to interact well and communicate with all levels of staff, including senior management.
• Knowledge in US GAAP is an advantage
• Preferable to have SAP or OneStream experience
• Preferable to be from Agribusiness industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Experience working with Shared Service Center would also be highly appreciated.
