Job Description

Assist the Financial Controller in developing and implementing systems for collecting, analysing, verifying, and reporting financial information.

• To ensure timely & accurate recognition of business revenue and expenses.
• Timely and accurate reporting of consolidated financial statements and management reports, including analysis, investigation and reporting of discrepancies, reconciliation and proper filing. All these to comply with accounting / tax / legal standards and practices.
• Assist on prepare forecast requirements annual scheduling schedule expenditures and analyze variances and propose corrective actions.
• Create, maintain and update all necessary financial and customer data and transactions in the EPB system.
• Develop and enforce the company\xe2\x80\x99s internal controls and policies to safeguard the company\xe2\x80\x99s assets and properties.
• To organize and carry out periodic audit and stock check for stores and warehouse.
• Oversees & ensure all work done by junior are accurate & timely.
• Assist in liaise with relevant government authorities, external auditor, tax agent, bankers and company secretary.
• Lead, coach, motivate and develop team members.
• Supervise and ensure that SOPs are adhered to by the team. Propose SOPs where necessary to further improve productivity and reduce redundancy.
• Any others tasks assigned by management.
  

• Minimum degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Minimum five years\xe2\x80\x99 experience handling full accounts, preferably in a distribution / retail environment.
• Strong knowledge and skills in all areas of accounting for multiple entities.
• Must be analytical & eye for details.
• Be a team player with good interpersonal & communication skills
• Responsible, possess initiative, independent and resourceful.
• Computer literate & good knowledge in accounting software.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to travel overseas if required.
