About the Job:

They are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in Singapore. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities. The successful candidate will also be expected to support the development and implementation of internal controls and ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and complete financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, including tracking actual results against budgeted performance
• Support the development and implementation of internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards
• Assist with tax compliance activities, including preparation of tax returns and liaising with external tax advisors
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and external stakeholders
• Support the external audit process, including liaising with auditors and providing necessary information and documentation
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as required by senior management

Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA are preferred
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial company
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations in Sri Lanka
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
