• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal control procedures and accuracy of the financial data
• Manage relationships between the Shared Service Centre and the businesses, ensuring that any issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Performing day to day accounting operations
• Review all the invoices/claims for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Review and ensure that scheduled payment runs are executed timely with approval
• Liaise with internal stakeholders from different countries and external parties
• Perform monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close processes and reporting
• Perform monthly, quarterly tax filings and annual statutory audits
• To assist the HQ in streamlining and standardizing process flow
• Perform ad-hoc projects/ tasks as assigned by the Group Financial Controller/Management

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification (i.e. CA or CPA qualified)
• 1-2 years prior experience in external audit background is preferred
• Prior work experience in a MNC / SSC environment will be advantageous, with the ability to understand B/S and P&L and perform controlling over accounts and financials
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and drive change initiatives
• Well planned and organized, able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Hands-on, not afraid to dive deeply in systems and processes
• Ability to speak/write in a 3rd language is a plus (e.g. Japanese, Thai, Turkish)
