Job Description

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?Responsible for the day to day accounting functions of E&C Singapore.
Actively take part in the month-end and year-end closing process and reporting.
Assists consolidated financials and works with audit matters to ensure controls are in place.Cash and Foreign currency Hedging operations

• Maintain and update the transactions (cash in & cash out) in Cash Book for all currencies.
• Handle all matters/reporting relating to Cash to the Group Treasury.
• Ensure all local & overseas invoices and supporting documents are in order for payment.
• Check on staff expenses claims for completeness and accuracy for the payment process.
• E-banking platform operation and authorization collections.
• Compute Bank revaluation for foreign currencies for Accounts month-end close.
• Forex Hedging coordination with other oversea affiliates regarding project(s) needs.
• Arrange for transfer of currencies and Cash Book, Post these records to Accounting System-Cash Book module.

Accounts Receivables

• Invoices prep for None-Project/Project purpose.
• Input/update all invoices and receipts from customers and debtors to the AR in Accounting System.
• Prepare Sales Invoices Listing to match to the Debtor Register.
• Update the expenses for recovery purposes.

WIP-LABOUR

• Collect manhour timesheet from Procurement Officer weekly via email.
• Input the weekly timesheet to the WIP-Labour Posting in the Accounting System.

General Ledger

• Journal entry-month end bank revaluation, hedging costs, recovery of expenses and etc.
• Prepare Balance Sheet schedules - Advance Billings / General Clearing / Sundry Receivables.
• Support in the month-end accounting close.
• Support in Audit exercise.

Tax

• Preparation of GST workings each month after close of the account month
• Filing of GST (input & output tax) to IRAS quarterly
• Filing of Withholding tax to IRAS (royalties payment to ERT Department HQ)
• Liaise/preparation for Computation of ECI and Final Tax with Tax Consultant
• Liaise/preparation for Transfer Pricing Study with Tax Consultant

Others

• Submission of project receipts and payments by Countries of Purchase to Department of Statistics of Singapore.
• Prepare the Dividend Distribution Target Process to the Dividend Department in HQ
• Drewcorp - BM & AGM coordinator
• Corppass Admin - give access rights for Corppass users (e.g.: BSC HR/Payroll users, 3rd party (Tax agents) , etc)
• Purchase latest copy of Bizfile from ACRA if needed
• Request Certificate of Residence (COR) from IRAS for DTA purpose (client & supplier)
• Perform ad hoc assignments as required

Are you a MATCH?

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• 2-5 years working experience with Accounting and reporting
• Proficient accounting fundamentals and reporting knowledge
• Knowledge in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, taxation and hedging.
• Knowledge of Singapore Financial reporting Standards Singapore GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (international financial reporting standards)
• Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Self-Organized strong organizational skills
