Job Description

We are looking for a motivated professional to provide support to provide support to the Senior Finance Manager. Responsible for the commercial, accounting & reporting functions of VML Singapore. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures and to continue to strive for best practice in all areas of Financial Management and Controls.
What you'll do
Financial Reporting

• Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate management financial reporting and highlighting all material commercial issues. Discuss and coordinate with account servicing team on the monthly and quarterly revenues and take proper actions as appropriate
• Prepare monthly revenue related schedules (WIP, Accrued Revenue, Client Profitability and Revenue Report)
• Assists with regular and ad-hoc financial requests as required by global and regional finance

Financial Control

• Assist Senior Finance Manager to ensure financial controls are sufficient, in place and maintained in line with Sarbanes Oxley & company Policies and Procedures
• Assist Senior Finance Manager to update and streamline company policies periodically

Budget and Forecast

• Assist Senior Finance Manager with preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasts
• Work closely with peer and Account Management team to ensure amongst other factors that revenue targets and profit margins are met
• Lead bi-weekly revenue meetings with Account Leads to identify gaps and opportunities in revenue

Statutory

• Assist with the request from statutory financial reporting such as audit and local legislative requirements on a timely and accurate basis

Operational Support

• Review WIP listing to ensure prompt billing and revenue recognition align with SOX and audit standard.

Who you are

• Diploma/ Degree in Accounting
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA or equivalent) preferred
• Minimum three years of Finance/Accounting work experience with a multinational company or top tier accounting firm
• Advertising industry work and SOX experience preferred
• Proficient in Excel, e.g. vlookup, hlookup, pivot table etc.
• Problem solving and multi-tasking skills are pre-requisitesolving and multi-tasking skills are pre-requisite
