Job Description

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Finance, you will assist in the management of the NTUC accounts and its related Funds, which include the reviewing of financial policies and procedures, variance analysis and management reporting. You will also assist the Deputy Director, Finance to oversee and review the work done by the finance team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management
• Review project utilisation and fund drawdown for programmes and activities funded by Government
• Review financial procedures and policies relating to billing, payments, and other finance processes to identify improvements while balancing the need for processing speed and internal controls.
• Review and monitor Cash Flows
• Provide support by liaising with colleagues from other departments on all aspects of finance
• Review tax-exempts receipts for funds that received contributions and donations.
• Liaise with external and internal auditors on all financial matters
• Supervise reporting finance staff
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Director, Finance or the Deputy Director.

• Degree in Accountancy or its equivalent and preferably a Chartered Accountant
• At least 3 years of working experience in a similar role, preferably with some experience in audit or finance process improvement.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA is preferred
• Competent knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards and other finance/statutory requirements
• Strong analytical, good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work with management and staff of all levels
