A leader in the energy storage and logistics industry is recruiting for a Accountant/Senior Accountant job. About the Accountant/Senior Accountant Role:
Reporting directly to the Assistant Manager for Business Finance, the Accountant/Senior Accountant is part of the operational team and the key contact point for the businesses and legal entities served. You will be responsible for handling various finance activities and transactions while driving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The Accountant/Senior Accountant also supports the projects and ongoing initiatives within this finance function as well as ongoing performance management and KPI reporting within the respective area. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform fixed assets, general ledger, closing and reporting activities including monthly reporting, quarterly forecast, and annual budgeting
• Prepare half-year and year-end financial statements including IFRS reporting for group consolidation purposes
• Perform correct and timely fixed assets bookkeeping including additions, transfers, depreciation, processing of impairments and disposals
• Perform ongoing and period-end GL postings, bookkeeping as well as external and internal reporting activities based on closing timelines set by Group Finance departments
• Investigate processing errors in respective area of responsibility and drive resolution
• Perform cash flow management activities such as the placement of fixed deposits and cash flow projections
• Perform tax activities including GST, property tax, income tax handling and tax-related documentation
• Support and contribute to business process improvement initiatives in the organisation (e.g. new ERP systems, process improvements, automation, etc.)
• Support the administration of loans under Singapore operating entities, including actual and projections for loan drawdown, principal and interest repayment
• Support the administration of excess cash for Singapore operating entities including actual and projections for fixed deposit placement and rollover

To succeed in this Accountant/Senior Accountant role, you will need to be detail-oriented and possess strong analytical and communication skills to work with the various stakeholders. Key Requirements:

• Degree in accountancy from a reputable university
• Six years' commercial experience, preferably with at least two years of audit experience
• Good technical knowledge in accounting standards, cash flow management, financial analysis and reporting
• Good verbal and written command of English
• Familiar with SAP
• Adaptable individual who is able to both work well independently and in a team
