Accounting & Controls Specialist or Senior Accounting & Controls Specialist - 1 Position.

Working in the Asia Pacific Accounting & Controls Department with responsibilities in U.S. SOX and Controls compliance in financial accounting processes, Finance Policy Advisory and Contract Review Administration, this role will:

• Clarify, communicate and advise on financial policies and procedures; develop and implement training programs; as well as recommend changes for best practice standardization, improved controls and business process efficiency.
• Conduct reviews to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures; evaluate control risk areas as well as identify risks and priorities in addressing control issues.
• Provide practical recommendations, review action plans to address internal control weaknesses and ensure execution of corrective actions to protect company assets.
• Analyze, evaluate and implement key corporate and finance projects. This may include the coordination of the US Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance efforts.
• Support vendor contract review activities in English.
• Liaise with finance and non-finance groups to promote and execute on initiatives to streamline financial processes and implement effective internal controls.

This role will require you to communicate and work independently with various functions and diverse cultures on a regional and country level.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or Business.
• 3 to 4 years' relevant work experience in financial process controls or audit in a large multinational organization. Experience working with cross-cultural teams is essential.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting principles (GAAP) and internal control concepts. Understanding of accounting systems and processes and application of financial policies and procedures.
• Meticulous and process-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
• Good problem solving and project management skills.
• Able to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Experience in data analytics or business intelligence tools is preferred.
• Candidates with added years of relevant experience in the design and implementation of policies, procedures, and process may be considered for the senior position.
