Job Title: Accounting Intern

Location: Singapore

Job Type: Internship (Paid)

Job Overview:

As an Accounting Intern, you will work closely with our experienced accounting team to support various financial activities. This internship is ideal for individuals pursuing a career in accounting and finance who are eager to apply their knowledge of accounting software in a real-world setting.

Responsibilities:

• Data Entry and Bookkeeping:
• Assist in entering financial data into accounting software, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Contribute to the maintenance of general ledgers and sub-ledgers
• Bank Reconciliations:
• Work on reconciling bank statements and identifying discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the team to resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assistance in Financial Reporting:
• Support in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in analyzing financial data and preparing summary reports for management
• Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Aid in processing invoices, verifying expenses, and managing accounts payable.
• Assist in monitoring accounts receivable and following up on outstanding payments.
• Assist with Month-End Closures:
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist in preparing necessary documentation for audits.
• Utilization of XERO Accounting Software:
• Leverage your knowledge and experience with accounting software, particularly XERO, to streamline financial processes.
• Collaborate with the team to optimize the use of XERO for efficient financial management.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Previous experience with accounting software, particularly XERO.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completed coursework in accounting or related fields.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
