Team Structure

The Accounts team is led by the Singapore office\'s Office Manager, and consists of 1 Credit Controller, 1 Senior Accounts Executive, 1 Accounts Executive and 1 Accounts Assistant.

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible to provide accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and billing for the firm in accordance with our firm\'s policies and procedures, the solicitor\'s accounts rules and other applicable regulations. You will be expected to carry out other administrative tasks to support the efficient running of the Accounts team.

Accounts payable

  • Processing and oversight of international & local invoices and payments, expenses, disbursements, firm\'s Amex corporate cards, and supplier statement reconciliation.
  • Monthly basis for running the AP aging listing.
  • Management of monthly office landline and mobile bill payments, posting of bills to GL, personal or matter related charges.
  • Processing payments by bank transfers, cheques, and GIRO, and allocation of payments in Aderant Expert.
  • Posting of overtime entries.
  • Ensuring all accounting processes are processed in line with the firm\'s policies.
  • Maintaining accurate updates of the Fixed Assets register.
Billing
  • Preparing billings and liaising with secretaries and fee earners on client requirements or queries on paperless proforma, update charge-out rates, write off etc.
  • Management of bill amendments, issuance, and reversals.
Credit control
  • Attending meetings with the Credit Controller and stakeholders to record WIP comments and Debtors in I4G.
Attributes/Skills Required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role \xe2\x80\x93 legal or professional services environment is a plus.
  • Highly numerate and organized, able to plan and prioritize work to meet key deliverables and deadlines.
  • Positive work attitude, strong attention to detail, and flexible (especially in the period of month/year-end closing).
  • Demonstrated understanding of the importance of client service.
  • Comfortable communicating and building relationship with all stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work both independently and cohesively work other team members.
  • Ability to demonstrate discretion and confidentiality in your work.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • A good working knowledge of the Legal Profession (Solicitor\'s Accounts) rules
  • Experience working with financial systems (i.e., Aderant, Concur) are desirable
