Job Description
Background of SOS
Samaritans of Singapore (SOS) is dedicated to providing confidential emotional support to individuals facing a crisis, thinking about or affected by suicide. We\xe2\x80\x99re non-religious and not for profit, our work focuses on crisis intervention and suicide prevention.
Our services include, 24-hour hotline and Care Text text-based service that provide round-the-clock emotional support for those in distress and the service is manned by our trained volunteers. These services are supported on a Microsoft Dynamics 365 IT architecture.
Supervision Structure for Intern
The intern will be attached to the Corporate Finance & Compliance Team. The work location will be at our office at 346, Ubi Ave 1, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm (lunch break inclusive) and excluding public holidays.
Scope of Attachment
The attachment\'s scope will primarily support the Finance team in SOS\xe2\x80\x99s accounting and reporting works.
- Processing and booking of all accounting transactions
- Banking transactions
- Staff and volunteers\' expense claim
- Suppliers\xe2\x80\x99 invoices
- Incoming funds
- Fixed assets management
- Procurement
