Job Description
- Conduct activity programs in the Nursing Home
- Conduct orientation to the residents before implementing activities
- Setting up the rooms / activity area for activities and events
- Prepare relevant equipment
- Overseeing the residents to ensure the residents are safe and following the instructions
- Transfer residents to the gym / activity area and back to ward
- Observe residents' responses during activity and inform changes in residents' parameters to therapist/ trained Staff
- Ensure safety of resident during activity sessions
- Purchasing items needed for activities and maintain inventory of equipment
- Conduct general body conditioning exercise
- Documentation
- Support in volunteers management
- Singaporeans Only
- Advanced/Higher/Certificate in Community & Social Service [Senior Care Services] and good "O" level [minimum 3 credits] or WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing care)
- Competency in eldercare service with at least 2 years working experience in an eldercare institution.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess a passionate disposition to care for elderly clients
- Be able to engage comfortably with elderly clients
- Be able to prepare and conduct care programs for seniors; e.g. daily news chats/cooking therapy/art & craft/singing sessions/dancing, reminiscence therapy; etc.
- This Position required to communicate to elderly in dialect
