Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Asia-Pacific pricing team, which supports all business lines written by Allied World in the region. We regularly interact and collaborate with our internal stakeholders. We value open communication and teamwork, and are focused on the growth and development of our team.

Job Duties:

Work closely with underwriters to assure proper use of the pricing models and to improve the usability and accuracy of the pricing models. This includes researching and updating pricing approach and parameters for these models
Provide pricing indications for individual large accounts
Support the development of online rating platforms in the region
Work closely with underwriters to conduct actuarial profitability reviews for portfolios across Global Markets Insurance
Any other duties, as assigned by reporting manager

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

Newly graduated, or up to 2 years of experience as an actuary working in General Insurance
Bachelor's degree in actuarial studies, mathematics, statistics, data analytics or related fields
Proficiency with Excel, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
Programming experience would be beneficial, particularly in SAS, R and Python
Strong analytical skills
Strong ethics and integrity
Communication and teamwork are essential to this role
