An exciting opportunity to join the Digital Solutions and Propositions Innovations team located in Singapore for a dedicated professional who is interested in honing the actuarial technical skills required in data analytics projects and working closely with other stakeholders (data scientist, risk management, business and domain experts). The division supports Munich Re\'s Life and Health clients in Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa business.As such you will gain exposure to a wide variety of business problems, other teams of Munich Re, clients and geographies. You will report to the Chief Business Officer, Digital Solutions, Life & Health 2, and will be based in Singapore.Your Role:Perform initial analysis of the data provided from clients in relation to data analytics projects (typically during discovery workshop) in conjunction with the data scientist team to evaluate the status quoProvide analysis as required to support or validate findings from the data scientist team and communicate findings to stakeholders as requiredProvide technical support during the risk implications exercise: development of methodology, cash flow projections, scenarios testing, documentationAssist in designing and validating monitoring dashboards prior to implementation to ensure accuracy prior to delivery to clientsLead / support monitoring of analytics projects post-implementation including flagging any adverse trends, liaising with clients on issues investigation, if applicable.Provide technical inputs and drive process optimization / automation relating to risk quantificationSupport any deliverables required as per ad-hoc requests from clientsWork closely with the data scientist and business transformation team, local business units, client manager and project manager (internal and external) in supporting data analytics projects)Your Profile:Associate of a recognized actuarial body (ASA) or pre-Associate and actively taking actuarial exams3+ years of experience in insurance or reinsuranceExcellent technical and analytical expertise, with a logical and concise approach, and a demonstrated commitment to detail; experience in Python, R, actuarial projections software is beneficialGood understanding of insurance operations (underwriting, products, actuarial, risk management); experience in data analytics is beneficialFluent in English (Business level both in verbal and written)Ability to integrate in a high-performance team with a high degree of responsibility, self-reliance in managing business pressuresDisplay proactiveness and ability to work within a team environmentOur Benefits:Flexible and hybrid working arrangementsGenerous annual leave allowanceCompetitive dental, life and health insurance coverageAt Munich Re, we embrace, and value, the interaction of diverse backgrounds, experience, perspectives and thought.
