The Research Assistant will provide the necessary support for the 2 research projects in the department.
The first research project is a cross-sectional survey investigating the knowledge, attitudes and beliefs of residents, at-risk populations, and healthcare workers towards influenza and pneumococcal vaccines in Northwestern Singapore. The Research Assistant will primarily focus on field work activities, including participant recruitment, survey administration, data collection, and the distribution of incentives to survey participants. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful implementation of the research project.
The second research project is a cross-sectional survey investigating the prevalence of and barriers to return to work from wrist injuries among nursing and therapy staff . The Research Assistant will primarily focus on conducting data analysis, as well as assisting the design and dissemination of data collection instruments as appropriate.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES`
Specific
Collaborate with community partners or stakeholders to facilitate participant recruitment and data collection efforts
Ensure accurate and timely delivery of incentives to eligible participants and maintain the records of incentive distribution, tracking participant eligibility and fulfilment
Conduct data analysis following data collection of the studies
Assist in the preparation of progress reports and contribute to the overall research findings and conclusions
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education / Training / Experience
Undergraduate or similar qualification in a field related to health science or data science or equivalent (current undergraduate eligible as well)
Prior experience in conducting online surveys or similar research activities is preferred
Good written and verbal communication skills to engage with participants effectively
Knowledge of research ethics and experience working with IRB protocols is advantageous
