Job Description


What the role is:As an Adjunct STEM Instructor (Workshop) (formerly known as Adjunct Education Workshop Instructor), you will support teachers in the delivery of Design and Technology (D&T) coursework and practical lessons.What you will be working on:This includes preparing teaching resources, setting up workshops/ special rooms for practical lessons or assessments and guiding students in their projects. You are also required to ensure that lessons are conducted in a smooth and safe manner in the workshops and that all tools, equipment, machines and training kits are in good working condition. In addition, you will support teachers in projects and operational aspects of students\' learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).What we are looking for:

  • Able to commit for a period of one year \xe2\x80\xa2 Good interpersonal and communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to work independently and in teams \xe2\x80\xa2 Preferably with at least 1 year of relevant work experience and familiar in handling and troubleshooting machines, equipment and tools that are used in secondary schools and safety requirements in workshops Please note that shortlisted applicants will be placed on a central register for hiring schools\' consideration till 1 Nov 2024. During this period, schools may approach these applicants for an interview. If selected, their applications will be put through further processing for hiring. Applicants who are not contacted by schools by 1 Nov 2024 may deem their applications as unsuccessful. Those who are interviewed will also be notified of the outcome of their applications accordingly. In general, applicants can expect to hear from us within 3 weeks of the close of the application window. In the event where we receive a high number of applications, applicants will receive an update on their status within 5 weeks of the close of the window. As part of the processing of your application, you may be required to undergo a medical examination that will be fully paid by MOE. You will be provided with instructions regarding the medical examination.
