The General Administrator is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth operation of the office. This role involves managing day-to-day tasks such as organizing files, handling correspondence, coordinating meetings, liaise with internal and external suppliers, contractors on supplies and assisting with basic financial and HR functions. The ideal candidate is detail- oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage office correspondence (emails, phone calls, mail, etc.)
Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements
Support basic HR functions such as maintaining staff records and assisting with onboarding, if any.
Monitor and order office supplies and equipment as needed
Ensure office policies and procedures are followed
Provide general support to visitors and staff
Handle immigration matters and liaises with Agent.
Handle import and export documents and custom clearance
Manage hotel/accommodate bookings
Accountable for all billings.
Can handle document control.
Manage staff welfare and well-being.
Arrange medical/hospitalisation, emergency evacuation plan
Work closely with shipyard and safety consciousness
Handle any other ad-hoc duties and tasks assigned
Requirements:
Candidate must be at least Diploma in Administration/ Business Management or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience/ experience in an administrative or office role.
Familiar with the immigration/customs and relevant authority in Batam.
Good communication skills in Indonesian and English languages.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong problem- solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
