DB Group will examine its Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) strategies, goals and objectives on an ongoing basis and maintain an effective program for DB’s business that reflects the best practices for a diversified, global financial services provider. The AFC Centre of Excellence for KYC supports Deutsche Bank businesses by ensuring appropriate risk decisions are made with regards to client adoption and periodic reviews, ensuring that all outcomes are in line with regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines both internal to DB and with DB’s regulators. The candidate for the AFC Centre of Excellence for KYC is supporting CB and IB KYC escalations to AFC, collaborating with the relevant Business stakeholders, Client Lifecycle Management and other AFC functions. Your key responsibilities:
  • Review and approval of APAC AFC escalations for client file periodic/event-driven reviews and new client adoptions in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Providing guidance on all KYC issues escalated to AFC
  • Identifying, investigating and escalating AFC Policy breaches
  • Collaborating and liaising with other AFC functions for KYC case approval, particularly related to sanction and ABC approval.
  • Contributing to the wider global Centre of Excellence programme, identifying best practice
  • Deciding on new or existing clients that are escalated, or deciding to escalate further to Governance Forums for review
  • Participating in relevant Forums with stakeholders and peers
  • Developing, delivering and overseeing AML training for the Business as required
  • Defining and implementing strategic TOM in-line with local/regional/global standards and change programmes
Your skills and experience: Minimum of 6 years’ experience in AFC or a related control function within a financial institute or investment bank with extensive experience with the KYC process Deep understanding of KYC risk principles and familiarity with AFC regulatory requirements A strong track record in risk and regulatory matters with a solid understanding of AFC risks, typologies addressing such issues appropriately Financial Crime function expertise and should be considered a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Financial Crime area on relevant laws and regulations Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage and advise professionally and persuasively with stakeholders Proven analytical skills, problem solving ability, and a control mindset paired with meticulous attention to detail. Able to raise sensitive or potentially contentious issues in a constructive manner to reach appropriate solutions Deadline driven with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Ability to handle time-sensitive projects while focusing on the quality of work delivered Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership of assignments, thrives in a teamwork-oriented environment and works well under pressure.
