The Business Line AFC (BLAFC) Global Emerging Markets Asia has, as its primary role, responsibility for supporting the GEM business and operations comply with laws, regulations, rules, expectations of regulators, the standards of self-regulatory organizations, and codes of conduct/ethics in connection with the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s regulated activities. Business Line AFC drives divisional and cross-regional harmonization of AFC for DB\xe2\x80\x99s businesses by facilitating the development of globally consistent strategies and responses to issues and supporting cross-regional initiatives.

Your key responsibilities:

Provide advisory and guidance to the Investment Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Emerging Markets business including coverage, origination product teams with regard to AFC matters, in particular know-your-client and money laundering-related topics

Support the design and implementation of the business unit level FC risk management framework (e.g. client perimeter, risk assessment, risk appetite) on global level.

Act as an AFC single point of contact for the Emerging Markets business with a nexus to the APAC region, and coordinate risk assessments of other AFC functions (e.g. Anti-Fraud Bribery & Corruption and Sanctions & Embargoes) as well as represent AFC in related risk forums

Review/Assess client and transaction-related escalations on relevant regional/global Reputational Risk Review Forum, Business Selection or other Forums/Council/Committees of possible new/existing Emerging Markets clients for the Investment Bank.

Continuous communication and exchange with the local, regional and global AFC network, the business units, product teams and KYC operations as well as with other infrastructure teams (compliance, legal department, divisional control unit, etc.).

Participate as AFC Subject Matter Expert in various working groups initiated by AFC and Business.

Maintain Team Desktop Procedure for main areas of responsibilities.

Provide leverage on Emerging Markets business and product to the Global and Regional Heads of Business Line AFC who act as senior points of contact on client financial crime risk matters, assisting AFC teams across on escalations and resolving issues escalated by the business.

Create briefing materials and information and represent AFC where required, on business and risk committees, regular Business calls

Define and Implement AFC procedures and Key Operating Documents, Define and Implement AFC Policies, Map Obligations to Policies

Identify Required AFC Policy Dispensation (waivers/exemptions), Review & Approve Required AFC Policy Dispensation (waivers/exemptions), Review AFC Policy Dispensation (waivers/exemptions) and contribute to reviewing AFC Policy and procedures where necessary and make recommendations

Providing client consultation and risk-based escalation channels to the businesses while building and ensuring relationship management of key business stakeholders.

Manage delegated responsibilities and provide back up support to global team members.

Your skills and experience:

Minimum 8 years of prior Anti-financial crime compliance expertise demonstrated by broad understanding of local regulatory knowledge and international AML rules and regulations (EU AML Directives, UK AML Act, US BSA/AML, etc.)

Experienced in providing financial crime advisory services particularly in assessing client and transactional risk exposures to senior business and AFC stakeholders.

Experience in high-risk jurisdictions.

Experience in commodities or precious metals or base metals financial crime compliance.

Excellent collaboration skills across multiple jurisdictions; And ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.

Strategic and collaborative problem solving and proven analytical skills.

Ability to work autonomously and execute projects with limited supervision; proactive and

self-motivated.

Excellent communication and fluency in English as it is a business language used across the bank.

Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
