About our client: Our client is a manufacturer of offshore drilling and production equipment that is well suited for use in deepwater applications.*High potential for a perm. role conversion if found suitable after 3 months.*About the role: Analyze Sales Orders, Engineering reports, specifications, drawings, and bills of material to create cost-effective manufacturing routings. Preparing material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses, and estimated production costs Source materials and services from approved and, where necessary, non-approved suppliers and contractors, evaluate quotations, prepare quotation analysis, and purchase recommendations. Review unpegged inventory and suggest material substitutions. Collaborate with requesting departments to resolve problems relating to requirements, deviations, substitutions, priorities, delays, damages, inferior quality or other conditions which deviate from established procedures. Review quality plans and ensure all activities follow the plan. Follow up on PO status and monitor delivery to ensure orders are on time. Coordinate third-party inspection requirements with Quality Control and Manufacturing.About you: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent. Working knowledge of modern MRP, MRPII, and ERP systems. Practical, hands-on approach. Good communication skills. Familiar with relevant manufacturing processes. Purchasing. Experience in Cost estimating, QS, and quotations.
