Job Description


The Role The Agile Project Manager primarily manages medium-to-high complexity projects from initiation to delivery. The Project Manager will join a community of Agile Project Managers and will be asked to contribute to and deliver on the goals and objectives of the HBNA Technology Team via the Project Management Organization team. In this role, you will be asked to help teams succeed by continuously gathering and providing as much contextually relevant information as possible and surfacing issues to key stakeholders. You will act as a liaison between the business, requirements analysis, design, development, quality assurance, and release management resources on the HBNA Technology Team. You will be a constant presence for all stakeholders across the project(s) you manage. Focus on what drives them toward success, and what challenges them in meeting their objectives. You will use this information to collaborate with teammates to ensure a healthy project that delivers quality software.

  • Works with other projects team members to develop release management strategies (e.g., planning, testing, dependency and organizational readiness) that address the risks and issues resulting from the complexities of scaling agile
  • Works with project team members to ensure that the project aligns with both business priorities as well as team capacity
  • Works with project team members to ensure that the team is continuously learning and improving though action items surfaced by teams throughout sprint or in retrospective

  • Proactively manages stakeholders’ expectations and is visible to stakeholders across the different functions
  • Works with other project members to develop strategies that address the risks and issues to high value “Done” Product Increments and promote sustainable development and release
Financial
  • Surfaces and manages project level issues and risks if project roadmap does not align with business value proposition or team capacity
  • Assists in ensuring that development effort is billed appropriately to maximize spend that can be capitalized
  • Manages project release plan and ensure that it’s updated throughout the release cycle as more data becomes available
  • Works with the project team to ensure work is transparent and easily tracked through ADO (or other tools used to manage status)
  • Ensures that all project reporting is available to and actively used by teams (e.g., feature report, burndown, risk log, etc.)
The Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Project Manager focused on software development (strong preference for Agile-Scrum SDLC experience).
  • Proven leadership experience in achieving successful project outcomes.
  • Track record of delivering strong results in large scale/complex software development projects.
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals, including project metrics and dashboards.
  • Hands-on management of projects and their outcomes, rather than passively collecting and reporting metrics.
  • Strong ability to identify potential issues and dependencies early.
  • Quickly facilitates mitigation plans, alternative approaches and communication of risks.
  • Fully committed to transparency in all situations.
  • Highly organized with excellent multi-tasking skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Analytical thinker with creative problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with teams within multiple geographic locations to meet demanding deliverables.
  • Requires advanced project or program management skills including work breakdown, risk monitoring and mitigation, scope management, and status reporting to management.
  • Agile Methodology experience.
  • Preference for Agile certifications (scrum master or or agile practitioner).
  • Self-starter attitude and ability to build a strong rapport and trust with resources in several functional areas.
  • Adeptness at learning new technology and tools.
  • Detail oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • BS/BA degree or relevant experience.
  • Experience with Azure Dev Ops.
  • Experience working with Microsoft technology stack (preference for also having SAS or any other Analytical Tool).
