Thales Singapore Engineering Competence Centre (ECC) is a well-established R&D and engineering centre serving major customers worldwide in Digital Identity and Security domains ranging from mobile connectivity, IoT, banking & payment to government solutions.

The Innovation Labs team is responsible for exploring new technology areas and related opportunities, proposing new ideas and translating new ideas all the way to production.

Responsibilities:

• In this role, the AI Algorithm Engineer will be working within Biometrics and Generative AI area and is responsible for proposing, prototyping proof of concept (POC) of new ideas and implementation of overall solution in line with the best practices so that the POC prototypes can be productized easily.
• The new role is suitable for an AI Algorithm Engineer who has intermediate understanding in Deep learning, familiar with research work and having conceptual understanding of generative AI foundation models and its applications.
• The AI Algorithm Engineer must be able to work with an agile team located at different geographical locations. Given the knowledge requirements, we are looking for candidates who is comfortable in such an environment setting.

Requirements:

• Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or higher qualifications in Computer Science
• 3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience, with at least 1 year doing Deep Learning
• PhD graduate with experience in side-projects are welcome
• Strong proficiency in Python/R, Spark/Hadoop, Java/ Scripting development
• Have good foundation in Mathematics and strong in Image Processing, analytical skills
• Experienced with Machine Learning and Deep Learning, familiar with learning techniques, up-to-date with pre-trained models in market.
• Familiarity/experience with research work and having conceptual understanding of Generative AI foundation models and its applications.
• Experience with agile methodology is preferred
• Good communication skills and fluent in English
• Team player
• Comfortable to work with parties across multiple geographical sites
