What the role is:AI EngineerWhat you will be working on:

• Design, develop, and implement AI models across various SLA operational domains
• Preprocess data to ensure the quality and accuracy of data being fed into the model
• Deploy AI models in production environments
• Maintain AI models for SLA operational use cases
• Optimise and fine-tune existing AI systems to enhance performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the data requirements, to refine the algorithm, and to seamlessly integrate AI solutions, to ensure alignment with the business needs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements in AI and machine learning

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience in implementing AI models, including machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java; Preferably Python.
• Strong command of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras)
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) or COTS tools (e.g. Dataiku) for AI deployment a bonus
• Proven ability to work with large language models and their equivalents (e.g., GPT, BERT, T5, LLaMA, Ollama,LangChain)
• Expertise in fine-tuning and optimising various AI models for specific use cases
• Familiarity with model architectures and their integration with other AI systems
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a team environment
• Prior implementation experience using Government cloud platforms (e.g. GCC, GCC+)
• Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision would be a plus.
• Experience in developing custom AI models from scratch
• Knowledge of best practices for AI model deployment, scaling, and maintenance
• Familiarity with ethical AI principles and responsible AI development (e.g. SCS AI Ethics and Governance)
