Our team is consistently searching for new places to fly, new ways to add value and new ideas to improve performance.We are looking for an experienced individual to perform the role of Ancillary Regional Specialist, JSA in the Product & Ancillary Revenue Department.Reporting to the Ancillary Regional Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the JSA inflight retail portfolio/P&L and oversee in-flight products, including food & beverage, merchandise, duty free, entertainment and digitisation, and any other in-flight products that come into consideration for Jetstar Asia (JSA).The incumbent will also support the Ancillary Regional Manager and collaborate effectively with product management teams, ensuring on time implementation of projects/initiatives, product and policy changes across all product portfolios relating to Jetstar Asia (JSA).Key responsibilities of this role are:Regional Projects/Initiatives

  • Contribute to timely and successful delivery of product margin targets and best in class execution.
  • Responsible for the thorough gathering of all specifications for projects leading to thorough documentation and project implementation.
  • Support communication, feedback loop with other internal delivery teams \xe2\x80\x93 JBA staff and Group, and external service suppliers to deliver projects/initiatives on time and on budget.
  • Daily operational responsibility for any ancillary led requirements
Inflight Retail Strategy
  • Develop and implement in-flight retail strategies and tactics for Jetstar Asia (JSA) in line with business objectives.
  • Work with retail partner and internal stakeholders to develop and implement JSA product strategies and tactics
Commercial & profit improvement
  • P&L ownership of JSA in-flight retail portfolio of products
  • Oversee JSA product levers \xe2\x80\x93 including product, price, channels, merchandising/promotion, etc.
  • Revenue enhancing initiatives to increase $/pax
  • Cost reductions \xe2\x80\x93 i.e., COGs, wastage/shrinkage, reduced operating costs.
Partner management
  • Effective management of partners to achieve JSA profit improvements and achieve KPIs (customer, commercial, operational and safety).
  • Ensure health of existing partnerships and accountability of SLAs and contractual obligations.
  • When required, support the assessment and contracting of new suppliers through an RFP process and facilitate contractual amendments.
Customer experience
  • Collaborate with cabin services and partners to drive NPS improvement
  • Ensure products are satisfying customer needs for JSA. Use quantitative and qualitive data to help improve the product/experience.
  • Support the development and launching of a new digital retail in-flight experience.
Operational delivery
  • Seek operational efficiencies to reduce costs and improve the customer/crew experience.
  • Support business initiatives including ramp-up, new routes, aircraft, ports. In doing so, balance growth and minimising start-up costs.
  • Support in-flight contactless payment initiatives.
Crew engagement
  • Support JSA Cabin Services on engagement & performance management programs including training, incentive programs, tool/tech, feedback platforms/channels, and sales data.
  • Incorporate crew feedback (backed by data) in improvement plans or where required.
Budgeting, forecasting and commercial modelling
  • Development of annual budgets and monthly forecasts for JSA in-flight products.
  • Business case development (as required).
  • Cost/benefit analyses (as required).
  • Oversight of compliance and conformity to Qantas/Jetstar food safety standards
  • Ensure product offering does not impact the safety of passengers, employees, or suppliers
  • Support and integrate to JSA and groupwide sustainability initiatives
Pre-order/digital co-ordination
  • Maintain the meals XML for website pre-order meal availability
  • Work with stakeholders and departments to ensure the effective application of fee codes, SSRs, etc. to manage bundle inclusions, pre-order meals across all channels, financial allocations, etc.
  • Ensure new routes are launched commercially with product live for sale via applicable channels
To be considered for these roles you will ideally have:Qualifications / Experience
  • Tertiary education in business related degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of independently managing fully outsourced partners/vendors
  • 3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of independently managing P&Ls
  • Experience of working within a dynamic and fast paced team environment
  • Experience in complex negotiation and RFI/P\xe2\x80\x99s/contract management
  • Experience in airline retail operations (beneficial)
  • Experience in digital retail (beneficial)
  • Experience in managing projects (beneficial)
  • Experience of implementing a customer service culture and achieving positive feedback from customers, together with making a positive difference to the business\xe2\x80\x99 perception
Skills / Knowledge
  • Excellent commercial, analytical and data insight skills
  • Ability to develop and present strategies and plans
  • An excellent understanding of category management principles to be able to continue to drive top line sales
  • Sound understanding of project management methods.
  • Ability to develop and deliver programs through to completion with a strong commitment to meeting budget, timeframe, quality requirements.
  • Sound business acumen and understanding of commercial practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex thoughts and ideas clearly to a variety of audiences - to both technical and non-technical team members / community
  • Strong problem-solving skills, using a flexible approach and demonstrating tolerance for ambiguity
  • Proven interpersonal, influencing, contract management and negotiation skills
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management
  • Ability to balance big picture thinking with detail orientation has context menu
