The APAC Security Control Center (ASCC) is responsible for providing emergency and non-emergency support, conducting research, and providing event dispatch and emergency notification services 24/7. In emergency situations, the ASCC coordinates regional security assistance and support, issues warnings, disseminates information, and serves as the central communication intake point for Global Security in APAC. The APAC Assistant Security Manager must exercise critical thinking, sound judgment, and effective communication skills to provide solutions to impacted personnel and their business leadership, communicate accurately with high-level executives, and solve potential hazards and crises to ensure effective warnings are communicated. The expectation of this role includes being responsible for the development and implementation of the regions daily operational with minimal supervision and tactical security planning initiatives to reduce risks, respond to incidents and limit exposure to liability that may result in financial loss to the company. And to ensure complete partnership and a coordinated and effective security program is successfully executed across the region. Key Responsibilities
Ensure all functions of the APAC Security Control Center are carried out in an efficient and effective manner whilst providing maximum security support
Manage and coordinate security communications operations ensuring that security procedures are implemented and followed as per the ASCC Procedures (SOPs);
Ability to perform well and maintain a high degree of professionalism and service on a routine basis, during emergency situations or under extreme pressure;
Supervise the daily development and dissemination of intelligence and operationally based reports to support our Global Security and regional business partners.
Supervise and provide guidance to ensure proper 24/7 scheduling and coverage for the ASCC;
Coordinate and support emergency and crisis management assets providing a timely and coherent response to incidents as they arise;
Liaise with Regional Security Managers, Regional Intel, Regional Ops, Risk and Crisis Management and all other required company personnel to ensure that all relevant security information is disseminated in a timely manner
Develop a working relationship with ASCC personnel and a comprehensive working knowledge of all ASCC programs and procedures;
Partner with and communicate with global security partners to conduct tactical security assessments as required, and where necessary provide feedback on proposed mitigation strategies for country and regional specific threats;
Supervise and execute the design and implementation of project related security strategies, security policies / standards and establish a concrete course of action for their implementation and review;
Provides support by monitoring open sources for breaking news and current events that affect the company, its employees, and guests across Asia Pacific
Liaise with regional security partners to ensure that training procedures and policies are implemented within acceptable standards;
Maintain close links with key stakeholders to ensure that all projects are implemented with the highest degree of professionalism safety and security;
Offer leadership, management and tactical guidance
Manage a team of ASCC Supervisors, Specialists, a Security Systems Supervisor and an Intel Analyst which operates on a flexible, on-call and rotating schedule.
Support upper management in developing policy, procedures and protocols for future ASCC operational and technological integrations
Serves as the first responder for information by assisting employees domestically or internationally with security- or travel-related emergencies;
Directs the supervision of ASCC personnel by overseeing and maintaining appropriate staffing levels; managing certain aspects of training and overseeing the development and maintenance of operations manuals;
Have a full understanding of the functions, roles and systems used at all sites, such as Security, Incident management & escalation, CCTV, etc.
Provides excellent support to regional guests and employees
Perform other duties as assigned by ASCC Management staff or other approved Disney Global Security management.
Assist in the effective implementation of the regional employee travel safety and security program
Ensures proper distribution of notification via our Emergency Mass Notification System (i.e. Everbridge)
Job Requirements
Minimum Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in International Relations, Strategic/Security Studies, Political Science, Business or a related discipline, or any closely related field of study
Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree is preferred or equivalent work experience is considered
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Supervisory experience in a related field desired
The ability to receive and relay direction, and have ability to multi-task and coordinate several incidents at once
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel including key company executives and law enforcement
Strong service/interpersonal skills especially during times of crisis
Strong interest and familiarity with international current events
Familiarity with tools such as Everbridge (VCC), Intel tools, access control and surveillance tools, etc. is strongly preferred
Ability to make critical decisions, prioritize issues and initiate appropriate response with minimal supervision
Sense of urgency in a 24/7 work environment for quick response to critical developing issues
