Job Description


A Business Manger is like 'Chief of Staff' for the Business Head, who acts as a trusted advisor and assist in driving business and control priorities. This role will be for an Associate reporting to the Regional Strategy & F&BM Manager for CB International based in Singapore. As part of CB International F&BM team, the Associate will work on delivery, and execution of both strategic and tactical initiatives to support the business. The team partners closely with the CBI geographic and industry groups, CBI senior management, and key product and functional partners through various initiatives. The role offers a platform to potentially grow and develop into a Business Manager role, or other roles within F&BM

Responsibilities:

    • Assisting with key business management functions including project management, analysis of sales/management reporting and ad-hoc requests. Own production and delivery for required material for Sales cadences
    • Providing project management and client research & analytics support for new business targeting efforts
    • Produce presentations, analysis and supporting materials for key internal clients including senior management; participate and support ad-hoc special projects and requests as needed
    • Coordinate the budgeting and forecasting process, as well as management reports and presentations. Develop, consolidate and present insightful and robust qualitative and quantitative financial analysis including annual budget, quarterly/monthly forecast variances
    • Create, maintain and review financial models and analyses (both recurring and ad-hoc)
    • Conduct \"deep dive\" analysis on key issues impacting client to determine root cause and propose solutions
    • Collaborate with business partners across P&A, lines of business and the firm to ensure the timely, accurate and effective delivery of recurring and ad-hoc initiatives
    • Play active role in Identify areas for continued process improvement - dashboarding efforts and utilizing automation tools such as Alteryx to drive efficiency

Requirements:
    • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or other related discipline
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in finance, business management or strategy roles in the financial services industry
    • Investment/Commercial banking or management consulting experience preferred
    • CFA and CPA qualification is a plus
    • Familiarity with systems and tools (e.g. Essbase, Dashboard, Alteryx, Tableau) is a big plus
    • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Qlik will be preferred
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present updates, requests, ideas and other communications in a professional, clear and concise manner
    • Sound judgment, professional maturity and personal integrity, strong work ethic, proactive and results-oriented, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Candidate must be comfortable with frequently changing priorities
    • The ability to comprehend and clearly communicate complex concepts and maintain composure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Strong technical and analytical skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Essbase, Visual Basic and macros with some experience in navigating multiple data sets and synthesize into cohesive presentation and recommendations
    • Team oriented, inquisitive, critical thinker who anticipates questions from internal clients and senior management
    • Ability to build strong partnerships with colleagues, desire to learn quickly, be flexible and think strategically.
