Position Purpose

The APAC GM Front2Back team is responsible for delivering the services to its clients on Global Markets perimeter. This team is responsible for managing regional projects, coordinating and implementing global projects affecting APAC region mainly for the Global Market perimeter across FIC, G10, Rates, Commodities and other Equity derivatives business lines.

Main responsibilities for the candidate would be to
1. As the Lead for the APAC Front to Back team, the person shall be responsible to build and develop talent in the team, put in place a global governance and stakeholder management.
2. Functional expert and SPOC to the business in Asia on the domains working on.
3. Project management of topics, driving front to back and transversal projects for Asiapacific
4. Stakeholder management and strong relationship with business and clients
5. Bring expertise on end-to-end process with a strong focus on improving end to end efficiency
6. Develop a clear vision of the target processes including innovation / digital as the case may be

An ideal candidate would come with 12-15 years of experience working in Investment Banking domain as a functional project manager-delivering front to back topics.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities
  • Act as head of F2B IT Team, responsible for delivering all APAC Projects Roadmap and responsible to build sustainable Trade processing Eco-system in APAC.
  • Guide, coach and motivate team members to deliver higher team performance
  • Act as Project Manager/Business Analyst for Regional & Local Initiatives to enhance Local Back Office IT platform for Global Markets and ALMT business lines
  • Act as the APAC representative in the Global Markets Global governance and build a strong relationship.
  • Mentor, nurture and Build a strong Program management team in Asia driving the APAC programs and building a mindset of transversal end-to-end project management.
  • Gather business requirements, perform analysis, write BRDs and Functional Specification for Development teams and prepare Testing strategies, write test cases and scripts, perform testing and co-ordinate UAT with the business users
  • Act as an interface between business stakeholder, internal teams, third party vendors, development team and Production teams
  • Provide regular updates to project sponsors and business stakeholders, organize project steering meetings and issues meeting minutes
  • Collaborate and follow up with development teams regionally/globally to establish IT Solutions and ensure timely delivery of the IT Solution
  • Develop good communication channel and good working relationship with Central teams in Europe and ISPL and ability to influence global teams to deliver APAC specific requirements.
  • Pre-empt and escalate any risks/issues to management/steering committees in a timely manner
  • Provide tactical solution to business in case of tight timelines and collaborate with different stake holders to provide strategic solution
  • Provide trainings to Business Users and APS team before the functional project go-live and prepare support document on the wiki/SharePoint.
  • Contribute to the team resource development. Effective transfer and share functional and technical knowledge to teammates.
  • Project manager on the different topics allocated, manage end-to-end project on Scoping, execution, testing and production. Build a strong project culture on reporting, stakeholder management
  • Functional expert on the domain, conduct end to end studies and architecture and solution definition
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the domains, perform analysis
  • Production support where intervention is required on a functional expertise level.
  • Perform end-to-end tests, plan and coordinate UAT, change management and golive support.
  • Able to work in a matrix environment building a strong relationship with Regional and Central IT teams and clients
  • A team player, who is able to work in a diverse team and comes with an open mindset to learn and adapt
This is a hands-on role, which will develop good understanding of Global Markets and Treasury business areas, processes and various Front to Back layers, strong analytical skills and a high level of accuracy when defining business specifications and testing scenarios.

  • Strong understanding of Capital Market deal flow from pricing to booking, risk management and back office, especially on FICC instruments \xe2\x80\x93 FX, Deposits, Rates, Options, derivatives and others.
  • Strong Program Management skillset and expertise in delivering large transformation programs
  • Strong people management skills in developing functional project managers
  • International exposure in working in a complex matrix organization
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills as well as reporting capabilities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills both verbal and written
  • Experience as a BA/Developer in banking environment
  • Have experience working with Global Teams
  • Be business oriented, positive, resilient, full of stamina with a clear focus on results and deliveries
  • Be creative, innovative, pro-active and convincing in terms of finding solutions.
