Job Description


Reporting to the APAC Head of HR Regulatory Affairs, the APAC Regulatory Affairs Associate will be part of a team that oversees the HR aspects of regulatory correspondence and initiatives in the APAC region, partnering with key stakeholders on governance and regulatory exams on HR topics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert by developing deep knowledge and keeping up to date on current HR regulatory landscape, practices and trends
  • Play an advisory role to the country HR teams and Centers of Excellence (COEs) for HR regulatory matters by providing regional perspectives while taking into consideration local nuances and global approaches
  • Interpret and evaluate the impact of regulatory changes and requirements on the Firm's HR policies and practices by conducting gap analysis and drafting narratives to communicate obligations to key HR stakeholders, policy and process owners
  • Support HR regulatory related projects by partnering with internal HR stakeholders and control partners from Legal, Compliance and Audit
  • Act as the clearing house for HR regulatory submissions and correspondence with the Firm's regulators by drafting or reviewing deliverables and driving the necessary approvals
  • Collaborate with global colleagues from the US and EMEA regions to align practices and integrate global initiatives as well as share best APAC practices
  • Provide support to conceptualize new or refine existing frameworks and internal operating procedures pertaining to the APAC HR Regulatory Affairs team to enhance workflows and partnerships with stakeholders as needs arise

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience in HR, Audit, Legal, Compliance or Risk in large multinational companies
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience working in a large-scale, global and fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting HR projects and the development of HR policies with the ability to multi-task and prioritize various initiatives simultaneously
  • Demonstrates commitment to quality and timeliness of work deliverables
  • Problem solver with the ability to troubleshoot issues or escalate when necessary
  • Good stakeholder management with sound judgment abilities
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • We're a global company whose primary business language is English and so fluency in English is required
  • Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin would be required to be able to work with clients in China
  • Certification from Singapore's Institute of Human Resource Professionals would be an advantage for this role
