The Role
Hitachi Vantara is looking for a passionate and proven Public Relations Manager to help us develop and promote the company\'s narrative in support of the Asia Pacific region. This person is a natural storyteller with a talent for managing multiple projects, budgets, and stakeholders across markets, who possesses an ability to drive the best media coverage possible. The successful candidate understands evolving market trends, maintains media relationships, and can connect the dots across a portfolio of data-centric hardware, software, and services to create compelling storylines. S/he is a strong writer and communicator who loves to roll up their sleeves, working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and managing our local PR agency partners to deliver top results.
The primary objective of this role is to help Hitachi Vantara build brand awareness as a leading provider of technology solutions and platforms for customers seeking to advance their data-centric business initiatives. Our portfolio spans data storage, hardware, software, and services addressing all aspects of the data lifecycle. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to use their creativity and story development skills to drive external communications for an established but evolving global business.
This position reports to the Director of Global Public Relations and sits within the company\'s Global Corporate Marketing and Communications organization. Location for this position is flexible but ideally be based in Singapore.

Responsibilities
*Develop and drive Hitachi Vantara\'s Asia Pacific PR programs for the company\'s technology, infrastructure, and partner program to address business, tech and vertical media
*Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with top-tier technology, business, and channel partner media
*Provide counsel to executives, spokespeople, and communications management on how to message and position the business and its innovations
*Develop thoughtful and interesting content for communications opportunities including press releases, messaging documents, FAQs, blogs, byline articles, and speaking opportunity abstracts and presentations
*Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams including product and revenue marketing, as well as customer advocacy, partner marketing, analyst relations and social media to proactively engage on communications content and media opportunities
*Manage local APAC PR agency partners to develop media strategies and execute program elements
*Provide PR and media support around executive visits, company events, and local speaking opportunities
*Work with agency partners to identify, manage and oversee local award submissions, as confirmed
*Oversee and track budgets for PR agency partners including creation of SOW/PO and receipt of invoices

Qualifications
*Minimum of 5-8 years\' experience managing public relations programs; in-house and/or public relations agency experience required
*Experience in large, global B2B technology, software, services companies a plus
*A content master - strong writer and storyteller that can draft compelling messaging for use in press releases, messaging documents, press presentations, bylines, blogs and FAQs
*Knowledge of the technology and data trends landscape to develop rapid response to breaking situations that require messaging or external media activity
*Experience working with distributed global PR and agency partners to ensure global consistency and alignment of messaging and campaigns
*Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities, assignments, and deliverables
*Demonstrated ability to create high-quality work, calmly and with good judgment in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
*Familiarity and comfort managing budgets, including PO and invoicing processes
*Bachelor\'s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience; MBA or advanced degree a plus
