We partner extensively with a range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance and HR; alongside having significant interaction with our external client base, playing a key role in the overall client experience. We have a Client relationship group dedicated to overseeing the group service performance and strategic partnership for our top tier client base, where we play a key role in supporting our global clients to ensure they have a first class experience when doing business with Citi.Our Digitization and Implementation group works alongside our Operations teams delivering automation solutions to solve for operational challenges. We partner with Citi\xe2\x80\x99s innovation labs to drive optimization and overall play a pivotal role in enabling us to transform to achieve our target operating model.Our Technology partners develop and implement a wide range of applications that support the Operations, Change, Design and Implementation groups in providing innovative products and solutions. We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic team players, with a strong work ethic, who will join Markets Operations. You will play a pivotal part in helping to support the lifecycle of a trade. Working closely with Business partners, Clients and internal stakeholders to ensure all transactions flow through our front to back Operations teams, with no issues. The overall objective of this role is to support trading desk, maintain position records, and improve process efficiency. The primary support coverage would be for the APAC Rates Trading desk including Australia.The Sec & Derivatives Sr Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical and administrative support to Front Office Sales and Trading specifically around derivatives and securities transactions
  • Maintain position records in coordination with the traditional trading desk assistant and / or trade processing functions
  • Support trade capture management, Front to Back reconciliation, operational risk identification, trade confirmation and settlement forecasts
  • Contribute to the development of new techniques related to the trade life cycle, and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area
  • Resolve complex trade flow problems through an in-depth evaluation of procedures and industry standards
  • Contribute to change-the-bank projects and offers advanced solutions
  • Escalate control gaps and issues to leadership and implement procedures and solutions to mitigate risk
  • Analyze trade related information in complicated and unique situations to resolve issues, such as affirmation, confirmation and reconciliation
  • Assume informal/formal leadership role within the team, and coach and train new recruits, and provide guidance and support to junior staff
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
  • Hybrid working model with 3 days working in office. The candidate needs to be able to support Australia time zone shift when required.
Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Education:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
