Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated sales development professional to join our APAC (Asia Pacific Region) team here at Panopto. If you want to join a dynamic, high-growth company and make a visible difference for our business, please read on.

About the role
As a Sales Development Representative, you own everything to do with generating new qualified leads for our sales pipeline: strategy, planning, and making it happen. You own specific activity targets for qualifying potential customers from both inbound (they contact us) or outbound (we contact them) initiatives. In addition to these and other activity targets, you explore and recommend new creative outbound sales initiatives to drive qualified sales leads.

Our sales development team is accountable for meeting monthly and quarterly targets and is responsible for two things. First, speaking with and qualifying inbound sales leads. Second, developing new sales opportunities through outbound prospecting. This involves the responsibilities to:

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calls, and emails
  • Collaborate on and develop your own demand generation through the creation of campaigns, sales leads and initiation of prospect calls
  • Understand how the Panopto platform is used by our customers to effectively qualify prospects based on their needs and requirements
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest to maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory
  • Perform qualification calls with prospects and attend in-person trade shows and exhibitions to meet prospects
  • Assist sales people with other activities to help them bring new customers on board
  • Own regional efforts for APAC Sales Development, working closely with AEs in region to build pipeline of meetings in Australia, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and other Southeast Asia countries
About you

Essential:
  • Fluency in English AND Japanese
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales
  • Confident, fearless and personable telephone manner
  • Ability to stay organized, multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
You don\xe2\x80\x99t have to check all of these boxes but these are some additional skills and experiences we think are important for this role:
  • Proven inside sales or sales development experience with a track record of overachieving quota
  • Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning and call control
  • Proficiency with corporate productivity and web presentation tools, experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM, Outreach, or ZoomInfo/Lusha
  • Experience with technology and/or B2B sales
  • Previous success qualifying opportunities involving C-Level, VP and Director personas in HR/IT
  • Passion for working in a collaborative environment
