Our customers use our tools to push the boundaries of technology and physics to deliver better products in the increasingly complex world of chip, board, and system design.We are looking for a highly motivated, innovative Application Engineer for OPC (Optical Proximity Correction) to work in our North American Calibre Foundry/SEMI Manufacturing Solution team. You will be part of a high-performing Application Engineering Team responsible for designing, developing, and debugging Calibre based OPC/RET solutions, and responsible for delivering software solutions to our world leading customers in the semiconductor manufacturing industry. As application engineers, we build a \xe2\x80\x9ctrusted advisor\xe2\x80\x9d relationship with our customers to help them solve their technical challenges using Calibre. You will be teaming up with the Calibre R&D team for fast prototype development to solve our customers challenges. You will be based in Singapore supporting local customers with the opportunity to work with customers in North America and Europe. Our application engineering team is a creative, dynamic, and highly productive small team environment.This is an ideal role for recent PhD\xe2\x80\x99s interested in building a career focused on OPC/RET or for experienced engineers with 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the Semiconductor Industry.Responsibilities:

• Play a role as a subject matter expert in Computational Lithography, being oriented to problem solving for our industry leading customers.
• Building \xe2\x80\x9ctrusted advisor\xe2\x80\x9d relationships with our customers & developing a deep understanding of their specific challenges and then finding creative solutions to address those challenges with the Calibre platform.
• Developing software prototypes and solutions with the factory to solve our customers challenges arising in computational lithography, OPC modeling, advanced mask correction using the Calibre platform and other programming languages such as Python, Tcl, C/C++ and Bash scripting.
• Delivering technical presentations, demonstrations, and trainings on Calibre OPC/RET/MPC Platforms.
• Driving the adoption, proliferation, and successful production deployment of Calibre products in the design to mask production.
• Travel to customer sites in both Singapore, North America and Europe will be required.

Qualifications:

• Education: M.Sc./M. ENG or Ph.D. in CS, mathematics, physics, EE or a related field.
• 2+ years industry experience in semiconductor industry, knowledge in OPC/Computational-Lithography, advanced mask, or IC design tools required.
• Intermediate/advanced programming skills like python, tcl or C/C++ required.
• 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Linux/Unix environments required.
• Strong knowledge and background in modeling and simulation for optics, electromagnetic waves, or photoresist.
• Imaging processing or optimization algorithm development experience is a plus.
• Direct experience in Siemens Calibre Platform is strongly preferred but not required.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastically focused on problem solving.
• Strong technical and written communication skills.
