Job Purpose

Provide Application Engineering support for OMRON's Cobots & Automation Products to our clients and regional project teams.

• Provide technical support for collaborative robots (cobots) and application know-how to customers to develop new businesses and support existing customers.
• Create prototypes, conduct simulation studies, and complete proof of concepts using cobots.
• Be a regional cobot specialist and provide technical support to internal and external customers.
• Planning, designing, and implementing automation systems using cobots and Omron Industrial automation components.
• Should be comfortable working along with the product development team and sales team.
• Provide feedback to Product Management (PMM) on our cobots, such as reporting bugs/issues and making suggestions for enhancements.
• Work with team members to integrate and improve our Automation Test Center (ATC).
• Keeping abreast of Omron Automation Technology & Products
• Represent Omron in a professional, ethical, and socially responsible manner.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering EE/CSE
• Proficiency in programming languages (like C#, python)
• Proficiency in networking concepts and communication protocols
• 2-5 years in an engineering role
• Minimum 2 years in Industry Automation is preferred
• Hands-on experience in operating and troubleshooting robots
• Able to understand electrical circuits and implement them
• Basic expertise and understanding of industrial automation products
• Basic Knowledge of 6-axis robots
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Fast learning with a proactive and positive attitude
• Able to work independently and as a team
